Day 13-North to Glacier

After seeing Leah at breakfast, we set out North for Kalispell, MT. This is the largest town close to Glacier National Park that had a choice of accommodations. A British Car Forum friend from Eurica, CA suggested we include a stop in St. Ignatius to see the church. St. Ignatius mission was founded by Jesuits in the late 1800's and is on the Flathead Indian Reservation http://visitmt.com/listing/categories_NET/MoreInfo.aspx?IDRRecordID=460&siteid=1 .The interior rivals churches we have been in in Europe. We drove around the East side of Flathead Lake where many of the local Cherry orchards are located. The trees were in bloom. We arrived in Kalispell early enough to drive to Whitefish and look at the Big Mountain Ski Resort. Kalispell is another 2 day stop so we have plenty of time to see Glacier National Park.

To our pleasant surprise, another herd of our fave cow, the Belted Galloway. We first saw them in VT.

The attraction road signs in the Flathead Reservation are written in 2 languages.
